It’s not just wonderful views and custom cabins that make our yachts special. We’ve added storage to fulfil all your needs – deck and cockpit stowage provide space for the necessities of long-term and long-distance cruising; there’s space for a dinghy, fenders, lines, an outboard, generator, watermaker, tools, spares and generous tankage all of which means you can avoid crowds and remain self-sufficient for longer.
Inside, each yacht is packed with practical details to enhance your time on board; slatted berth bases offer comfort and ventilation, and vented lockers illuminate when opened. You can design each cabin to fit your needs. There’s room for your clothes, provisions, and all you need to cook proper meals night after night, and where better to enjoy your well-deserved evening meal, but in the comfort and luxury of the raised saloon – no messing about with damp cockpit tents, or blankets to keep warm as the evening draws in, simply step inside.
On deck, the cockpit is focused around the helm. It makes no difference if you’re sailing with a crew or on watch alone; all the sail controls are at your fingertips. Safety and comfort are paramount on all our yachts, so whether you are port-hopping or ocean crossing, you can have total confidence in every Faurby Deck Saloon. We design the cockpits to be spacious for relaxing while retaining practicality for sailing. On all but our smallest Deck Saloon model we achieve this with our innovative twin cockpit design. The forward cockpit has high coamings and seat backs for shelter and comfort. There are no lines in this area, making it safe for children, families, and non-sailors – and with the shelter of the deck saloon just through the companionway, everyone can stay where they feel most comfortable. The aft cockpit has plenty of room for two to enjoy sailing together, allowing your crew to join in when they want to. Alternatively, the helm can take complete control with the mainsheet and self-tacking jib sheet to hand, meaning fewer interruptions for the off-watch crew.
Every Faurby Deck Saloon benefits from a galvanised steel frame laminated into the hull to take the loads from the keel and mast. All the stress from the keel is transferred to this frame and spread around the hull. Every bulkhead and where the furniture touches the hull is laminated to create a more substantial, lighter and stiffer yacht than you’d expect; this makes for a rugged go-anywhere yacht that’s safe, comfortable and rewarding to sail.
One option our customers love is the ability to choose where they want their galley. It can be located alongside the raised saloon to offer a more social kitchen/ diner layout, or perhaps you’d prefer the galley lower in the hull to maximise comfort at sea; the choice is yours.

If you want more headroom, we can lower the floors (we’ve even increased the freeboard in the mould to accommodate our taller customers). Likewise, whether you need one heads and two cabins, two heads and three cabins, it’s up to you.
