You don’t have to put up with ‘must-have’ features you don’t want. You’ll get all the features you demand and more.

We don’t follow market leaders because we don’t make yachts for the masses. Our performance cruisers are designed for discerning sailors who value safety, superior build quality and desire a custom yacht interior with a proven, fast and pretty hull design. Unlike plumb bows that are impractical for anchoring and beamy hulls that require twin rudders for control, our sleek hulls have a timeless beauty; they are easy to sail quickly and comfortable to cruise, whatever the weather.

As well as offering a fun and unique sailing experience, nothing is compromised. Each yacht is built by our highly skilled craftsmen, boat builders, and cabinet makers who form the interior of your yacht precisely. A tour of our facilities will show you craftsmen marking and finely trimming every piece of wood to fit its chosen space. Solid wood is sawn, shaped, sanded and varnished to create an interior as individual as you are. Our layouts are tailored to every owner. You choose the berth, cabin and heads configurations. You don’t have to put up with ‘must-have’ features you don’t want, and you’ll get all the features you demand. Because each yacht is hand-built, you can choose the interior style, not just the materials you see, like rich, warm, mahogany or golden, light, European oak, but every design element. Locker doors are just one example; choose the style of the solid wood door framing, whether the doors are recessed, flush-fitting or shaker style, and of course, furnishings and fittings (latches, taps, door handles) can all be your choice too.

We designed our cockpits to be practical and comfortable. You won’t find your cockpit awash with lines and sheets far from the helm. We’ve ensured there’s neat stowage with rope bins and cubby holes. Often used lines are close to hand, while others can be stored ready for action.

We understand the feeling you get through the helm makes you a better sailor, and there’s no better feeling than the direct connection to the rudder from a tiller. Yes, we offer tiller steering! Because that’s what our owners want. We also offer wheel steering connected via gearbox and rod rather than cable that can stretch and become sloppy. Whether you choose a tiller or wheel, you can feel how the yacht reacts to every gust; you won’t just see the numbers on the log rise. You’ll feel a light increase in pressure through the helm, a slight heel and then the acceleration. Steering to take advantage of the gust soon becomes second nature. Many of today’s yachts provide a sterile and emotionless feel on the helm, robbing you of one of the fundamental joys of sailing. It’s why we honestly believe nothing sails like a Faurby.

Built like no other Performance Cruiser

Beneath the floorboards might not be the most exciting place to look on yachts. But on Faurby, it’s where we’ve excelled in improving our yachts. On all but our smallest Faurby (the 335), you’ll find a galvanised steel frame to take the load from the keel-stepped mast and keel. All our yachts have bulkheads, semi-bulkheads and furniture laminated to the hull to create a strong light grid structure that makes a stiffer, lighter yacht.

The keel blade has a substantial internal steel structure, rather than a solid steel or lead fin – this reduces the weight of the blade so all the ballast is in the lead bulb, as low as possible from the yacht’s centre of buoyancy, maximising the ballast’s effect. It also gives you the unique option of choosing precisely the draught you want to cruise with.

As you explore our Performance Cruiser range, please remember we help those who want their dream yacht – a boat that will last your lifetime and be handed down to future generations.

If you want more headroom, we have lowered the floors or increased the freeboard in the mould to accommodate taller customers. We can design the ideal arrangement for you; whether you need one heads and two cabins or two heads and three cabins, it’s up to you. We’ll create a layout that works, whether you plan sailing holidays as a family of six or want to sail as a couple with the option to accommodate occasional guests. We have done all this and more. At Faurby, anything is possible
